4-H Summer Camp - Operated by Los Angeles County 4-H

Mark your calendars! June 2020 at the historic Camp Seely in Crestline, California will be the site for the 90th annual 4-H Summer Camp program rich with history and tradition that dates back to the 1930's. Any youth enrolled in 4-H between the ages of 8 and 19 as of December 31, 2019 is eligible to attend the 4-H Summer Camp. If you are not currently enrolled in 4-H, you can do so today via your local 4-H County Office. You do not need to be registered in a local club to attend 4-H camp. There is a $75 nonrefundable deposit to reserve your space and an additional $58.00 charge to enroll in 4-H. Camp Seeley is located near Crestline in the San Bernardino Mountains above San Bernardino at 4,200 feet elevation.
Why is 4-H Summer Camp so inexpensive? At $300.00 we offer a great Camp experience that is well organized that includes room and board for six nights and seven days. Most comparable camps charge much more. 4-H camp is a non-profit program and is supported entirely by the staff, adult volunteers, leaders, resource people and kitchen staff who are 4-H members, alumni and volunteers. The only exception is the Camp Nurses who are fully licensed, experienced and on site full time.
L.A. County 4-H Summer Camp is an Accredited Camp by the American Camping Association (ACA) and offers the following activities daily: nature, handicrafts, ping pong, basketball, swimming, hiking, fishing, volleyball, horseshoes and more. Each evening after flag lowering we light a fire in the fire circle, sing traditional camp songs and are entertained by a different event each night. Past evening programs have included, Team Games, Talent Show, Movie Night, Graduation Ceremony and the Dance. 195 children attended the 2019 4-H Summer Camp as well as 25 Adult Chaperones. The camp has sold out each of the past six years.
Adults who are over the age of 21 are welcome to serve as Chaperones at no cost. However, there are additional forms, a fingerprint requirement, orientation and registration is required. Call Keith Nathaniel at (626) 586-1970 for more information. With so many activities and a full schedule the week at 4-H Camp goes by quickly. Reserve your spot today with a non-refundable $75.00 deposit.
